Dactyliczed Kate Coombs (author of The Runaway Princess and the blog Book Aunt) has immortalized me in a double dactyl, after finding me in a Wikipedia search for famous people with suitably stress-patterned names. It had actually never occurred to me that my name, like that of Eleanor Roosevelt, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Emily Dickinson is double-dactylic. How could this have escaped my attention? I am so jealous! Higgledy-Piggledys are justabout my favorite form of verse! Next time we meet, I will speak you the ones I have memorized. Congratulations. Posted by: Ellen Kushner at November 14, 2009 04:57 AM |
