Big in Japan

A band of Japanese translators led (as far as I can tell) by the illustrious Yoshio Kobayashi (aka Takashi Ogawa) has started a group Japanese/English translation blog, 26to50 (named after the number of letters in the English and Japanese phonetic alphabets).

They did a series of interviews on a generation gap in contemporary science fiction, one of which was with me.

And now they've published Yoshio's Japanese translation of Molly and the Red Hat as their first 26to50 fiction offering. Yay!

I haven't gotten around to posting Molly online, which makes this possibly the first story of mine which you can only read in English online through the magic of Google Translate. I'll have to rectify that soon... :-)

Apparently "Orange Skies" also reminds Yoshio of "The Orange".
