Noah on the Necessity of the Concrete

Dispensing Noah's allowance:

Me: Are you going to put any into the Tzedakah box?

Noah: No, because I don't see a poster of somebody poor.

Me: rummages through drawer and finds charity fundraising poster of small girl with leprosy

Noah: (happily) Now I'll put some in the Tzedakah box!

Do you have a poster of a small girl with leprosy in your drawer for just such emergencies or???

A reasonable question, I think.

I do indeed!

It actually shows her proudly holding up her hand, still intact, with dotted lines drawn across her fingers showing how much of them would be left after one years and after five years... if she hadn't gotten the medicine she just got from whatever aid agency sent us the poster.
