Two for two for two Hmm, well, this is on the web, so I guess it's okay to announce... Sean Wallace has posted the confirmed contributions to Prime Books' entry into the crowded melee of Year's Best Anthologies, and it seems that editor Rich Horton, too, has chosen both "A Siege of Cranes" and "The House Beyond Your Sky", for his fantasy and SF best-of's, respectively. Hah! QUADRUPLE congratulations! Posted by: tacithydra at November 15, 2006 01:13 AMI just read your story "The Ant King" - very clever and nicely written. In fact, my family enjoyed it as well. Thanks. I especially liked the sudden "decided to become a bum" part. I think there is something irresistably funny about a well-dressed CEO pushed out of his own company, who then leaves his Lexus behind, trades in his Armani suit, highly polished shoes and wallet for the clothes of a homeless bum - and is then upset by the refusal of the other bums to talk about the stock market! Posted by: Jim Wellington at November 17, 2006 10:12 PMThanks, Jim! I love that part too. :-) I considered cutting it (according to that writer's maxim, "kill your darlings") but ultimately I couldn't bear to.
