Locus Interview up, and reading
Wow, until it's yours, you never realize how... short those online interview excerpts are. The interview in print-Locus itself already seems really compressed to me -- and thus more intense, somehow. The jumps between thoughts more dramatic, the claims more bald. Tim Pratt did a hell of an excellent job compressing it out of the original reams and reams of verbiage, but the end effect is to leave me a little woozy on reading it. A combination of "ulp -- I said that?" and "what the hell am I talking about?" Still, it was a lot of fun, and I'm very proud to be in SF's favorite trade rag. I also have a reading coming up: Sunday, November 13th If you're coming by public transportation, West Falls Church metro is not far, and you could take the 28B (though it's only hourly on Sunday, so you'd get there at 3:30 or 4:30). Or email me. :-) Posted by benrosen at October 24, 2005 01:43 PM | Up to blogComments
The idea that you produced reams and reams of verbiage is just about as unlikely as the idea that dramatic jumps in thoughts are unusual for you, Ben. ;p Posted by: Patrick Samphire at October 28, 2005 08:37 AM |
