Windy City I'm about to catch a plane for Chicago for the Nebula Awards to see if I can win one. There are a lot of great stories in my category, though; I'll be overjoyed and flummoxed if I win, but I'll be pretty delighted if Greg or Ken or Eileen win, too. And that variant would have the added advantage that I wouldn't have to read an acceptance speech... which I am going to write on the plane... ugh. I know, I've got extrovert brain chemistry and whatnot, shouldn't be a problem, eh? But you know. Something about it makes my skin crawl. However, don't get me wrong... I am hoping to have this problem. :-) Wish me luck! Posted by benrosen at April 29, 2005 11:59 AM | Up to blogComments
Good Luck! And when are the Hugo winners announced? Will you be going to the UK for that? Posted by: Levi Wallach at April 29, 2005 12:55 PMIs there not a single one of us willing to say, "Damn fucking toasted Hell, I can't believe I lost!!" Well, no, I'm not going to say that, but I wish one of us would! Great seeing you there, Ben, and now you've got the Hugos to look forward to. Posted by: Greg van Eekhout at May 2, 2005 04:00 PM |
