"The Orange" in French and Romanian

Bogdan Stefan was good enough to translate my story "The Orange" into Romanian, and to arrange for it to be translated into French by Michaël La Chance, a professor from Quebec.

That's fitting. You have kind of a Canadian feel to you. Any idea why that is?

Hm. Maybe the admixture of living in the USA and continental Europe...?

Other than that I don't know; I've only been to Canada once.

I asked Canadian author Cory Doctorow what Canadians are like and he told me these jokes:

Q: How do you find the Canadian in an elevator?
A: Step on people's feet until someone apologizes.

Q: How many Canadians does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: Two -- one to screw in the light bulb, and one to fly to New York to see if light bulbs are still cool.

So... thanks. I think. :-)
